Procedure

Step-by-step

  1. 01

    Choose the interface

Use the REST API for direct operations, outbound webhooks for event notification and hooks for in-application extensions.

  2. 02

    Create the minimum scope

Issue a token with only the abilities required by the consuming application.

  3. 03

    Configure delivery

For webhooks, use HTTPS, select only required events and store the signing secret securely.

  4. 04

    Verify signatures and replay safety

Validate each webhook signature and deduplicate events before processing.

  5. 05

    Monitor activity

Review delivery history, response codes and API logs; rotate credentials on a schedule.

02

Checklist

Best practices

  • Never place a token in client-side code.
  • Return a fast 2xx response and process slow webhook work asynchronously.
